Day 5: Letters to your dreams

Just like Tasha, I don't have a sibling so Day 4 of the Letter challenge will be skipped.

{Part of the
30-day Challenge}

Dear dreams,

I am not talking to those of you I have whenever I'm asleep and that I practically don't remember, LIKE EVER; by the way what is up with that? You need to stay fresh in my memory because I am kind of getting tired from these deja vus; you know just FYI.

No, I am talking to you; the dreams I hold deep inside, the ones I don't mention out loud because I'm so scared that they won't come true. The ones I daydream about daily and the ones who give me faith that everything WILL be all right.

You know what I really want from you; I want the simplest things but sometimes, obtaining the most simple things are the hardest task. I want to find myself; find out who I really am deep down. I want to experience mind-blowing love; the kind of love that sets your skin on fire and turns your insides all gushy. I want a husband, kids, a quaint home in the suburbs with a white picket fence; I want to be able to love freely and be able to just be me. I want happiness and love for all my friends and family.

Some things can't be just realised by just wishing hard for them; things like world peace, no hunger, no diseases and equality for all but I hope that if we can keep on dreaming about it, it will lead us towards a greater path. A path that will eventually make all of these dreams come true. I would actually love it if all of you could become my realities and I'm seriously hoping you will.

But I know that things don't fall into your lap as an apple falling from a tree; it takes hard work and dedication and God knows I'm well and willing; if you could please, just do me one tiny favor? Please stop running so fast and let me catch up! Okay, thanks :)

I have been duped today.....

So this is going to be a very long post. I went to go to the supermarket today to grab a few things; *YAY FOR LEAN BONELESS CHICKEN BREASTS AND ORANGE JUICE* and I was standing in line, you know just minding my business when this random girl came up to me, asking me for the time. I was like "Okay, you know sometimes I randomly ask strangers for the time too"; whenever I don't my phone on me since I never wear a watch.

Then she started talking to me about how she looked awful the morning after a break-up; I told her she looked fine, and not because I was trying to be nice but because she did look fine. She didn't seem sad nor did it seem like she had been up all night crying her eyes out which is what I would look like the morning after a break-up.

At that point, I'm trying to just pay my things and get the fuck out of there because A) I was in dire need of sleep and B) I don't know this chick. As I was walking out of the supermarket, she broke down in tears, y'all! IN TEARS! So I'm literally standing besides a random chick that I don't even know who's bawling her eyes out and loudly, might I add, and everyone passing by is staring at me like I just beat the crap out of her.

As I'm not inhuman, I tried, awkwardly but nonetheless I tried, to give her a hug because whenever I'm sad, I just need hugs. We exchanged names and I told her that if she needed to talk to someone, she could talk to me. So we grabbed a mint diabolo, which is a drink I love. It's just some mint syrup mixed often with 7Up or lemonade and it's delicious. We went to a near-by park and that's when she told me her breakup story and it was just a bunch of hot mess. HOT MESS, I TELL YOU!

So after 5 years together, they finally split. Her guy is very family-oriented which is not an issue for some people but for her, she would have preferred that her man actually listens to her instead of always listening to his family. His family doesn't like her anymore; they used to but that was before she had wished that his father, who was sick and in the hospital at that point, would just die. She had said that out of anger but as she is shit out of luck, his father had died that same night. So now his family thinks she is a witch in disguise and has somehow, cast a spell on their family and they do not want him to ever be with her.

That family drama aside, she, then tells me that she caught her guy cheating on her with one of her friends about a week ago. As if that wasn't enough, he only calls her when he needs to get laid and obviously because she is IN LOVE with him, she goes to him and whenever he's done with her, he just throws her out of his apartment. He has also been known to hit her on multiple occasions, and get this! She is even questionning his sexuality since he does some shady things with some shady friends. Yet she is convinced that he loves her deeply because one day, they were fighting and she asked him if he had ever loved her or if he loves her now and if he doesn't, when is he planning on falling in love with her ?

His answer, ladies and gents {Are there gents around these parts ?} was:

" I didn't love you, I just really needed to get laid and you were there so. You know, on some level or you know, subconsciously, I love you. I'm sure I'll be head over heels with you very soon; you know you just can't push feelings like this. You need to give me time."

So he threw her the bone and like the little puppy he knew she was, she held on to that bone as if her life depended on it. I swear you guys, my hands were literally itching to just shake her and slap her just so she could finally wake up and smell the coffee. I was holding myself back so badly. I tried to point out to her that if he was pulling crap like this, then maybe he wasn't good for her and that she should try to move on because a guy like that, will only hurt her. She proceeded to find every single excuse in the book on why he was acting like such a douchebag.

I felt so bad for her; not because he did loads of crappy stuff to her and still she accepted, but because she didn't even know who she was anymore. She was so blindsided by this dude that she forgot who she was or on some level, she doesn't even know who she is to begin with.

She has been with him since she was a teen and at that point, I think she had lost her father so her bf sort of became the father figure in her life; meaning he always told her what to do, who to be friends with and what to like. And now that he was gone, she felt like she had lost all of her marks in life. She doesn't know what she wants to do with her life; she doesn't know what friends to hang out with; it's to the point where she doesn't even know what kind of drink she likes anymore.

I tried to cheer her up as much as I could and told her to seek some professional help because there isn't much that I could do except give her the sound and mostly SANE advice that I could formulate which is MOVE ON! Everyone in her immediate entourage has told her the same thing yet she is still lost. She thanked me for all my help and then proceeded to find another person sitting in the bench behind us, and she began crying in his arms and telling him the same story over again.

I was curious to find out if she would tell him the same story so I just sat there and pretended to be highly engrossed in my book while eavesdropping on their conversation. She told him about the same story as she told me but she fancied it up a little bit. She mentionned how she went to see 5 different psychics and how they all told her that this guy wasn't good for her but that she would meet her prince charming in a park at a point in her life where she was facing an obstacle. At this point, I was astonished because this girl is stooping to all kinds of low to have people feel sympathy for her. She then asked him to take pity on her and buy her something to eat because she hasn't eaten in days; he asked her if he wanted to get kebabs with her and she had gladly accepted.

I followed them because they were heading towards my place so I thought I could kill two birds with one stone; so he had bought her the kebab and bid her good day since he had to go to his driving course. She saw me and asked me for a ciggie; I told her I didn't smoke. She then sat at the pub right by my place and fell on this old fella and she did her little number again. I mean the whole works; the crying, the breakup story. He bought her two vodka shots, a coke and a full plate of Greek food.

In a matter of hours, this girl had gotten two drinks, two shots, and two full meals. That's when I realised I had been taken for a ride you guys; this was her daily job, I think. I felt like such a fool for falling for her BS but then again, I can't be angry because at least I tried to help out someone no matter what.

That was my eventful day! How was yours? Anything crazy like this ever happened to you?

Ermmm.......Thank you, I guess.......*insert awkward silence*....But I'm gonna pass so....umm....Bye!

Whaddup?????????????????????? *Barney Stinton Style*

I hope y'all had an awesome weekend; I sure did. Well not really but let's just all pretend that I did, mmkay? Thanks.

What have I been up to, you wonder? {even if you don't, please go along with it...You will be greatly rewarded. I don't know how yet but I'll keep you updated on that.}

I have been having writer's blog (GET IT??? WRITER'S BLOG? LIKE "WRITER'S BLOCK"! HAHAHA! I CRACK MYSELF UP.) so I have been literally just staring at my computer screen for hours waiting for all the thoughts rambling on in my head to just calm the eff down so I could write something plausible but alas, all I could muster writing was utter crap and I can't give you guys utter crap; y'all deserve more. I have so many drafts right now in my folders, it's crazy insane.

Did it ever happen to you when you start writing something, it totally makes sense in your head and the second you start proof-reading your stuff, it starts falling apart like Lindsay Lohan? Yeah? Welcome to the club.

I've also caught myself daydreaming alot lately, about beach vacations and just digging my feet through white sand and dipping my toes in warm cool water; I miss going to the beach.

Whilst I can't go to the beach I decided to brush up on my cooking skills. I have been searching the world wide web for easy recipes; I must admit I was struggling with it all until a light shone down from heaven {not really} and I fell upon
Pionner Woman's website. "Wow", is all I can say. The food looked so delish and so easy to make.I've made some recipes over the past few days and so far, I've made :

Spicy Orange Garlic Shrimp

Fettucine Alfredo

Shrimp Risotto

Funnel Cakes

Mocha Silk Pie minus the Kahlua- Since I don't drink, I added cappucino. That is still in the fridge right now since I made it yesterday, so I'll be thinking of you all when I eat it tonight.

I also found a new love for cottage cheese; how have I been living and breathing for the past 22 years and not come across this little gem? I shall never know but "YUM" is all I can say and speaking of cottage cheese, I'm craving some right now. Excuse me while I go get some.

* Insert elevator music*

Okay, I'm back. Oh, you know what? the CRAZIEST thing happened to me yesterday. Let me situate you a little bit.

Location: Supermarket Parking Lot, Béthune, France
Actors: Yours truly, random 50-year-old man with his green jacked-up car.
Time: 14:20pm

Scene I

I was walking down the bridge from the train station and I was going to the supermarket to go pick up some shrimp (Can you tell I love seafood? ) and I get to the roundabout/traffic circle when I hear whistles. I look up and see this old man in his jacked-up car LITERALLY getting his head out of the car just to take a serious look at yours truly. I must admit I was looking mighty fine too so I mean, I get it :) {Can you say conceited much?}

Scene II

I nod it off and continue my walk across the roundabout/traffic circle and see the same man AGAIN coming around the roundabout/traffic circle, taking another look. I was like "Yeah, okay it's flattering but he better not come back a third time; then it'll go from flattering to freaky." Guess what? He came back a third time; at this point I reached the supermarket and I was walking across the parking lot.

Scene III

Dude has the balls, cojones, cahunas, whatever you wanna call them, to get out of his car and come up to me; at this point, I started fearing for my life. It didn't help that I watched "P2", the previous night, which ironically, is a thriller set in a parking lot and although it was broad daylight, I felt like he was about to put a chloroformed tissue on me and drag me out of that parking lot and I would never see all my loved ones ever again. Let's just say I have a vivid imagination. He starts complimenting me for the longest time and essentially on how I'm the most gorgeous woman he's ever seen and that if I give him the teeniest chance, albeit it be 1 in a trillion kinda chance, he would worship the ground I would walk on.

First of all, I am not used to people worshiping the ground I walk on and I don't know how confortable I would feel with that; I'm not also used to people openly hitting on me like that and I'm sure as hell not used to strangers saying that I'm the most gorgeous woman ever. Second of all, all I could think about while this random man is babbling on is: "Why do I keep attracting old creepsters? What is it about me that keep them coming at me, like honey on bees?". I need to figure that ish out, ASAP!

He then looked at me with puppy-dog eyes, trying to hit my soft spot; damn him!!! I am a sucker for puppy-dog eyes. When I'm put on the spot, I fumble A LOT and fumbled I did. This is what came out and I'm keeping it short with the "ermmms" and "umms":

"Errmmmmmmmmmmm...........................Thank you........................I guess............................But ummmmmmm............I'm gonna pass..................................................So......ermmmm............bye!!"

I cannot handle stressful situations like that and I felt so awkward that I took 2 showers. *Shudder* Just thinking about it makes my skin crawl.

In other news, I am trying to grow out my hair. I know it's not huge news but for me it is. It is HUMONGOUS. I have had short hair for about a decade of my life. I cut them for the first time when I was twelve and I've been keeping it short ever since. And it's not even because I like short hair.

You know when your hair is growing out, and it's not your short hairstyle but it's not chin length nor shoulder length either? It's like in an awkward phase where it's lifeless and mostly, not STYLISH at all. I hate that part of the growth so in order not to deal with it, I've always went back to the short hairstyle. But I've stuck it out for the past 6 months. My hair had a tendency to grow an inch every 3 months; but for the last six months, I haven't touched my hair except cutting 1/2 an inch just for my split ends and surprisingly, it grew about 4 to 5 inches.

{This is what it looked like in december; very buzzed at the back and Victoria Beckham bob-ish in the front}

{This is when it's curly; it's longer if straightened}

{I can't wait 'til the day it gets that long - via we heart it }

That's pretty much it for me, you guys! Wow I have rambled on today! Hope you have an awesome Wenesday! Live life, stay healthy, and God bless!

P.S: Thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog and leaving comments! They are truly appreciated and I even do a little happy dance whenever I get a comment or see the hits on my blog so thanks again for bringing many a-smiles in my life!
