Guess who's back for a short second?

So some of you have realized that I have been a little M.I.A; some of you might not have and it's okay. The reason for my kinda-long absence is that I have been dealing with a mild {read HUGE} gastroentiritis. I have been completely sick and I'm starting to feel a little better since today. Adding to the fact that I'm currently in the month of Ramadan, where I'm fasting all day, it's really taking a toll on my stomach.

Ramadan, if you don't know what it is, it's actually the islamic month of fasting and it's meant to purify our souls and learn all about how to be more humble and to have compassion. There's millions of people in the world that have to fast due to not enough food or not enough water and what I love about Ramadan, is that every year that I do it, I feel like I become more and more compassionate and I count my blessings more often. I feel that by fasting, I'm feeling what others feel on a daily basis, and I just feel extremely lucky to have the life I have. It's also that time of year where we confess to God about our past sins, ask about forgiveness and for him, to give us guidance.

I saw earlier all your lovely comments left on my blog and I feel really grateful to have you guys worrying about me. It was so nice to see your comments today and I'm gonna make sure to get to full-blogging mode in just a few days. I just don't want you guys to think that I'm neglecting your blogs or mine for that matter; I love what I'm doing with it and I love that I'm able to connect with so many amazing people that I've met through here and I feel extremely lucky to "know" each and every single one of you!

And in the mean time, I leave you with this little tidbit.

"Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.
Life is beauty, admire it.
Life is bliss, taste it.
Life is a dream, realize it.
Life is a challenge, meet it.
Life is a duty, complete it.
Life is a game, play it.
Life is a promise, fulfill it.
Life is sorrow, overcome it.
Life is a song, sing it.
Life is a struggle, accept it.
Life is a tragedy, confront it.
Life is an adventure, dare it.
Life is luck, make it.
Life is too precious, do not destroy it.
Life is life, fight for it."
